In writing about our lives, we find ourselves looking back at who we were as if we were telling the story of someone else. Through small discussions, in-class writing prompts, and co-participant feedback, this workshop attempts to have writers use personal experiences as inspiration.
How can speaking about major events/moments in our lives help us better understand ourselves? How can creating prose poems about our past help others heal? We will go over the rules of poetry, prose and memoir and shatter them completely in order to get at the truth about who we are now and who we were then.
The workshop will be facilitated by JP Infante; follow him on Instagram at @jpinfante.
