Crossing the Border: A Child's View!
Based on a true story, MY SECRET WISH explores the many challenges for a family seeking asylum, particularly now, during this difficult political time. What does it mean for the mother of two young boys, one of whom has been threatened by gangs, to make the difficult decision to come to America, when America has all but closed its doors. But determination and love are the catalysts, which motivate Mama to go on, with much hope in her heart, the same hope the young boys secretly wish for. Beautifully illustrated and translated by Elizabeth Balaguer, who will read the Spanish version of the book. Cover art by Rae Weyn Gonzalez.
All proceeds from the sale of this book go to Immigrant Families Together. Buy copies of MY SECRET WISH when you RSVP here.
