Tenth Intervention comes to Word Up for a special story time of “Drum Dream Girl”, a book inspired by the music and rhythm of Cuba, and one girl’s quest to follow her dreams to become the first female drummer in her country. Featuring music by composers living in New York City and Cuba, performed by Tenth Intervention.
Tenth Intervention is equal parts music series and artist collective in New York City. As “ambassadors of modern music” (Interlochen Public Radio), they present a bold and progressive concert series that explores the intersection of performance, experiential art, and its potential to reflect social issues.
