How can we connect to each other at a distance, through music and sound? Join Evelyn Petcher and Rachel Mangold outside Word Up Community Bookshop for a series of 3 socially-distanced, family-friendly, music-making sessions to explore this question with participants of all ages. These short workshops will feature live performances followed by participatory music-making. Each session will be different, so we encourage coming to all of them! For those interested, there will be an opportunity to participate in the next part of the project. The events are part of Music for Strings and Community, made possible in part with public funds from Creative Learning, supported by the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council and administered by LMCC.
